Anne-Marie Faiola

As the daughter of an immigrant mother who spent much of her life caring for her children (me!) in an unsung-hero sort of way, as my parents reached their 70’s I tried to coax a story out of them both to learn more about them and pass on to my children. Neither of them were very interested in putting their stories to paper; enter Marlayna and Birthright Books.
Marlayna interviewed my parents, together and separately, at length to write the story of their independent lives and their lives together. The final product is a beautiful telling of our family that will be passed down to my children (their grandchildren) and hopefully generations past that. I am thrilled with the final product and appreciative of Marlayna’s gracious touch, evident in all her interactions with my parents, and also in the book
